September

• 03/09/2010 - Eco Car Challenge premiers the latest selection of eco-friendly vehicles. The Eco Car Challenge takes place on September 12^th in London and will feature the latest range of environmental motoring solutions, including: racing supercars, town runabouts, scooters and bikes.

August

• 23/08/2010 - Quick win energy efficiency options for consumers.  Gordon Miller, sustainability and communications director of Sustain reported on 20^th August, a host of quick win options that business and home owners can try to stop wasting energy.
• 11/08/2010 - 3,701 organisations still to register for the CRC. With the deadline only 50 days away, the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) announced on Wednesday 11 August that 3,701 businesses are yet to register.
• 04/08/2010 - Huhne’s energy policies cause ripple effect.  Less than three months after taking office, the new Energy minister, Chris Huhne, delivered the first of the annual energy policy statements.

• 28/07/2010 - DECC forecasts rising consumer bills. The DECC reported that energy and climate change policies are likely to have a significant impact on consumers across the UK, due to changes in prices for goods and services and patterns of consumption.
• 20/07/2010 - 7,500 companies face fines under CRC. Reuters report suggests some 7,500 face fines under the mandatory carbon reduction commitment (CRC) energy efficiency scheme.
• 12/07/2010 - Which? reports consumers want clearer energy prices.  A report from watchdog Which?, says consumers want clearer information on energy prices.
• 07/07/2010 - ‘Carbon Gym’ to help MPs energy awareness.  The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association is hosting an awareness raising event for MPs at Portcullis House.

• 29/06/2010 - The Government prepares to unveil Green investment bank plans.  The Government are likely to unveil details of a new ‘green investment bank’, which could see an end to the Carbon Trust and the Energy Saving Trust.
• 24/06/2010 - PwC says budget plans are light on energy policy. PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) say despite the budget being “light” on environmental measures, they await further details in the autumn.
• 18/06/2010 - £2bn of projects scrapped by the Government.  The chief secretary to the treasury, Danny Alexander announces £2bn planned projects are scrapped to tackle the country’s budget deficit. 
• 14/06/2010 - New poll says 70% of public are still concerned about climate change.  Poll reveals that the expected major drop in public acceptance of climate change is in a fact a small fall. 
• 10/06/2010 - London and Carbon Trust combine in attempt to become a world-leading low carbon capital. The Carbon Trust announce partnership with the London Development Agency and the Greater London Authority in an attempt to bolster London’s position as a world-leading low carbon capital.
• 01/06/2010 - Draft agreement leaked from the UN claims world leaders ‘paralysed’ the summit in Copenhagen.  The Guardian releases details of a letter leak from the UN's climate chief.  

May

• 26/05/2010 - New energy bill confirmed by the Queen.  On Tuesday 25th May the Queen's speech confirmed energy and the green economy as a government priority for the coming year.
• 20/05/2010 - Half of UK firms are considering renewable energy investment - A new survey has found a growing support for renewable energy technologies.
• 19/05/2010 - EC to unveil carbon tax plans. The European Commission was expected to discuss revision of the EU energy tax directive at its meeting on the 26th May.
• 17/05/2010 - Prime Minister David Cameron pledges to make his Government the 'Greenest Government ever'. David Cameron unveils ambitious targets to cut the UK Government's carbon emissions, a pledge that could, if successful, cut the Government's energy bills by hundreds of millions of pounds.  
• 10/05/2010 - Greenpeace suggest hung parliament is a historic opportunity for climate change. As the talks between the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats continue, seven of the UK's largest environmental organisations comment on the effect a hung parliament could have on climate change.
• 05/05/2010 - UK consumer energy bills expected to rise regardless of election result.  As the election approaches Bloomberg reports on how a push for more renewables and cleaner energy could rise energy bills.

April

• 29/04/2010 - Climate change need businesses to play a 'major role' in tackling climate change. In the latest B4E summit, he UN secretary says businesses need to take more action on the subject of climate change.
• 22/04/2010 - The Guardian reports on the climate change debate.  A clash of policies, nuclear power and airport expansion plans.  Find out just what happened at the climate change debate from the Guardian online.
• 21/04/2010 - Ask the ministers in energy and climate change debate.  The Guardian Online host the energy and climate change debate this evening and put questions to the three politicians fighting to become to the next climate minister.
• 14/04/2010 - Conservative Party says "Vote Blue and Go Green", in their manifesto. On Tuesday 13 April the Conservative Party published their manifesto and Climate Change was high on the agenda.
• 13/04/2010 - Royal Assent for the Energy Bill. On Thursday 8th April, the Energy Bill received Royal Assent becoming the Energy Act 2010.  Find out more about what was included in the act. 
• 01/04/2010 - The Carbon Reduction Commitment Scheme launch.  The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) energy efficiency scheme has been launched today.

March

• 30/03/2010 - ECCC report suggests Government will miss fuel poverty targets.  With an election coming up the government are set to miss fuel pverty targets, read more about the report from the Energy and Climate Change Committee.
• 24/03/2010 - Pre-election budget announces £2bn green plan - In the recent pre-election budget, Chancellor Darling announces plans to investment £2bn in green projects
• 01/03/2010 - CRC Energy Efficiency scheme one month away.  With the scheme only one month away the DECC sets up activity with over 115 events planned over the next few weeks, to help raise awareness.

February

• 10/02/2010 - Small-scale projects can drive carbon reduction. Sir David King speaks to the BBC about how small-scale projects ran by businesses and the local community, can help fill the void left from the Copenhagen Climate Change conference.
• 09/02/2010 - Ofgem launch new label for green electricity. Ofgem announce new green energy certification scheme labelling green electricity tariffs that have been certified as having genuine environmental benefits. 
• 02/02/2010 - The CRC remains at the top of the corporate agenda.  As the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme approaches large businesses and retailers are facing significant changes their corporate agendas.  
• 01/02/2010 - Government plans for wholesale reform.  After 12 years of deregulations the Government is planning for a wholesale reform.  The Times interview Ed Miliband, the Energy and Climate Change Secretary.

January

• 26/01/2010 - Explosive growth expected for carbon software market.  With firms becoming more aware of their carbon emissions, reporting software is predicted to increase seven fold within the next two years.
• 18/01/2010 - 'Think again' says the IPPR. A forthcoming report, by the Institute of Public Policy Research (IPPR) calls for some ‘bold new thinking’ on fuel poverty. 
• 12/01/2010 - The Carbon Trust calls for 'cost culprits' to be scrapped.  The Carbon Trust has released shocking  figures that suggest small and medium-sized businesses could face thousands of pounds added to annual energy bills, unless equipment is modernised.
