Carbon Trust calls for energy efficiency step up

In order to meet emissions targets by 2050, the Carbon Trust has published a report to say energy efficiency improvements have to be made. Stuart Farmer, the Head of Strategy at Carbon Trust, said ‘policy makers need to provide the necessary policy and regulatory support to ensure an industry response.’

With the European Union’s target that 20% of energy consumed across Europe needs to be from renewable sources by 2020, the Carbon Trust report assesses the challenges ahead to deploy UK offshore wind power to meet renewable energy and carbon emission targets.
