CRC Energy Efficiency scheme one month away
01.03.2010
In just one month the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) begins, to help save organisations money and reduce their carbon emissions.
As of 1st April large corporate organisations within the public and private sector will be required to improve the energy efficiency of their sites. The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), who are running the mandatory scheme, will be hosting over 115 events including regional workshops and speaking events, to help raise awareness.
“There’s just one month to go until the start of the CRC which will see large public and private sector organisations cutting emissions as well as saving money on fuel bills. This is a real opportunity for business and industry to take a leadership role in tackling climate change and gain reputational advantage as a result,” says energy and climate change minister Joan Ruddock.
