DECC forecasts rising consumer bills

On Tuesday 27 July, the DECC reported that energy and climate change policies are likely to have a significant impact on consumers across the UK, due to changes in prices for goods and services and patterns of consumption.
 
The Annual Energy Statement set’s out DECC’s latest assessment of the impact of energy and climate change policies on gas and electricity bills. 
 
Medium-sized, non-domestic consumers can expect a 24% and 43% rise in gas and electricity, while domestic consumers could expect an overall rise of 18% in gas bills and 33% for electricity bills.
