Energy Saving Trust encourages switching suppliers ahead of a very cold winter

The weather experts predict that there is a very cold spell is on its way for this winter. The Energy Saving Trust are encouraging domestic customers to start looking for low-cost quotes ahead of the big freeze, as an increase in demand could see energy prices rising considerably.

An Energy Saving Trust spokesperson said:

“There are considerable savings to be made if people are prepared to switch suppliers and online direct debits deals give the best savings.”

They also encourage making simple energy efficiency steps, like installing insulation, switching off lights and putting heating on timers.
