In an article published by the DECC for the Energy Focus Journal, energy minister Charles Hendry Hendry discusses the move to a low-carbon economy.
Mr Hendry recognised the move was needed, emphasising Britain’s desire to be a "global leader in the transition" but said a number of key technologies had “underlying issues”.
The article also addresses how the coalition government’s spending review will affect the fulfilment of the UK carbon reduction commitment.
