Indicative timeline for new nuclear updated by the Government

14.11.11

The indicative timeline for the first new nuclear power stations is a generalized illustration of how the various workflows in the new nuclear programme and other related activity work together.

The timeline was last published in August 2010. There have been some changes since, including:

-  The previous timeline showed the Funded Decommissioning Programme Guidance being published in Q4 2010. The revised publication date for the Guidance is December 2011; and

-  The previous timeline indicated that decisions on Regulatory Justification would be made around Q4 2010. This remained the case, and the House of Lords and the House of Commons approved both of these in November 20101.

You can view the timeline and its accompanying narrative on the DECC website.
