Government plans for wholesale reform

01.02.2010

After 12 years of deregulation the Government is planning a wholesale reform to change Britain’s energy markets.  In an interview with The Times, Ed Miliband, the Energy and Climate Change Secretary, talks about the need for a more interventionist energy policy to deliver the low-carbon investment we need.

He said, “Big reforms are essential to deliver the estimated £170 billion of investment to meet its goals of huge carbon cuts.”
