Opus Energy welcomes new metering provider for smart meter installations 

Due to the increase in demand for smart meter installations, Opus Energy has announced a new provider for their electricity metering solutions.

OnStream, a National Grid company, is one of Britain’s leading metering companies, providing gas and electricity metering solutions to energy suppliers across Great Britain and will be the largest installer of smart meters in 2010 for the UK.

Having installed more than four million gas and electricity meters and 27,000 smart and AMR meters in homes and businesses across Great Britain, Opus Energy is confident that their new provider will be able to meet their growing demand for smart meter installations.

OnStream provides meter asset management, installation and metering services incorporating pedestrian meter reading, smart metering, data collection and data aggregation; delivering an end-to-end dual fuel service.

Opus Energy and OnStream will be working together to further our commitment to providing our customers with a seamless installation of smart meters. Initially they will be tasked with the installation of new meters for corporate customers.
