Opus Energy developed Opus Evolution to meet the growing demands for smarter, more cost effective electricity purchasing products. It is exclusive to the commercial market, giving customers complete control to manage their energy portfolio. This unique product is unlike fixed term contracts as it offers the flexibility to lock out electricity demand, directly with the wholesale market.
Such flexibility has enabled our current corporate customers to save an average of 30% on their electricity bills and helped control the volatile cost of energy. Had our customers fixed their electricity consumption at one price for the duration of their contract, they wouldn’t have benefited from these savings.
As the market prices have moved Opus Evolution customers have realised the potential to purchase at a lower cost due to the flexibility on offer and direct access to the wholesale market. As prices fluctuate the customer requests an electricity commodity price and then chooses to lock out a percentage of their consumption, enabling them to take advantage of preferable price movements.
As a result of its successes', we have continued to research and develop further advancements of our products and services and have created an interface called, Opus Extra, to meet the demands of our smaller consuming corporate customers. Just like Opus Evolution, it gives customers access to the wholesale market and flexible purchasing, but it is aimed at industrial and commercial customers using over £50,000 worth of electricity per annum.
